Im Zusammenhang mit den Dreharbeiten zu ihrer TV-Dokumentation für ZDF und 3 sat entstand dieses reich bebilderte Buch, das die wechselvolle Geschichte des Museums und die bedeutenden Sammlungen (Skulpturensammlung, Museum für Byzantinische Kunst, Gemäldegalerie, Münzkabinett) beschreibt, die das Bode-Museum beherbergt.
Es enthält Beiträge des Kunsthistorikers Dr. Arnt Cobbers, des Kulturjournalisten Michael Grisko, des Kulturredakteurs beim „Tagesspiegel“ Bernhard Schulz und der Herausgeberin Carola Wedel.

The Bode Museum on Berlin’s Museum Island is one of Germany’s most beautiful and art treasure-rich museums in Berlin. Following the restoration activities from 1996 to 2006 it has shined with new glory.
The ZDF journalist Carola Wedel accompanied the restoration work intensively. This richly illustrated book, created in connection with the filming of the television documentary for ZDF and 3Sat, portrays the museum’s eventful history and its important collections (Sculpture Collection and Museum for Byzantine Art to its Painting Gallery and Coin Cabinet) which are housed in the Bode Museum.
Included here are contributions by the art historian Dr. Arnt Cobbers, the culture journalist Dr. Michael Grisko, the culture editor of the “Tagesspiegel” Bernhard Schulz and the editor Carola Wedel.
